Fundraising campaign to buy chairs for church
This project consisted in creating a fundraising campaign to buy chairs for the new space of the Christian Community in Algueirão, based in Sintra, Portugal.
Each chair costs around 100€ due to their design and quality, since the church will also serve as a public space for events.
My idea was to reflect the “dream” chairs that would fill in the auditorium. For this I created a small chair using white cardboard and hot glue and then put it on top of this cork board available in the space.
This would then result in a ground illusion that would create a depth feeling balanced between the size of the chair and the actual dimension of the room.
The final copy (“A cadeira que falta”) stands for “The missing chair”.
We were able to raise funds for 130 chairs out of 180 within the first month of sharing.
